    Position Duties:

     

    The APM will be responsible for developing, establishing, implementing, and controlling contractual, financial, and technical aspects of a program through designated phases of the acquisition cycle.  The APM is responsible for leading, directing, and managing the day to day activities of the staff to meet cost, schedule, and performance baselines of assigned program(s).

     

    The APM advises senior managers of significant actions or problems, and recommends solutions.  Complies with all security directives, internal processes and corporate policies.  Analyzes interrelated issues of effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity; develops recommendations to solve problems; and applies program management principles to guide the program.

     

    The APM continually studies, reviews, and evaluates program progress.  Establishes management controls such as expenditure rates, management indicators, and management reviews to reflect program status and provide early detection of emerging problems.  Organizes teamwork efforts and may lead a team of specialists in resolving technical, schedule, cost, and supportability issues.  Provides feedback to customers and keeps abreast of changing environments and potential shifts in emphasis or other program changes.
