This provides for what-if evaluation, predictive decision support and analytics, and strategic planning.  This core competency has resulted in analysis solutions for many customers, including the global supply chains and medical processes for a variety of customers.

 

We enumerate a few of our recent analysis and development efforts below:

 

  • Analyzed Air Force Supply Chains to optimize aircraft readiness and perform cost trade-offs for supply locations
  • Analyzed the processes of the Lower Level Clinic of Public Health of Dayton and Montgomery County to assess and optimize resource usage
  • Analyzed Kettering Health Network’s Emergency Department process to cost-effectively reduce its average patient Length-of-Stay to 180 minutes or less
  • Analyzed Procter & Gamble pharmaceutical Supply Chain to determine return on investment for use of RFID and 2-D barcode technologies at the item level.
  • Analyzed Ohio’s Modular Emergency Medical System components for optimal resource allocation under various potential emergency scenarios.
  • Simulation of regional workforce demand and supply to enable what if analysis of various strategies to reduce unemployment and maximize economic impact on the region

 

Leveraging its core modeling tools and a multitude of custom analysis plug-ins, ECI can capture and evaluate system-of-systems architectures.  This includes examining specific elements of performance such as trustworthiness (i.e. safety, security, reliability).  It also allows a designer or architect of a system to measure and ensure trustworthiness early in the life cycle of the system.  Other analysis includes evaluation of interoperability impacts, modeling human and machine interactions, and determining the impact of uncertainty on overall performance.

 

Example analysis includes evaluation of a complex net-centric architecture for the Air Force.  In this activity, ECI leveraged its tools to evaluate trustworthiness aspects under uncertainty and apply Monte Carlo simulation and optimization to determine required parameters to meet mission objectives.  ECI also leveraged its formal method techniques to verify critical mission requirements and check reliability and safety.
