Analyze and ensure safety and performance of complex systems

Edaptive Computing Inc. solutions in System of Systems analysis enable modeling and simulation of interactions between systems that constitute the System of Systems as well as interactions with its environment. Our capabilities have been applied successfully to various real-world applications in Defense and Commercial sectors.

Advanced sensors, platforms, and weapons systems continue to provide important advantages when for defense and situational awareness.  Achieving these advantages requires correct operation and safety of the components that ultimately compose the system-of-systems.  This  requires a focused, architecture-based approach to systems engineering.  This provides the basis to assess risk and measure trustworthiness at the architectural level.  The use of executable architecture models provides a way to uncover these problems from the beginning.  It also allows for the decomposition of existing systems to understand system vulnerabilities.   Modeling complex systems also facilitates the use of formal methods for checking correctness and verifying system properties.

ECI’s solutions provide a system-of-systems analysis framework for achieving these goals.  With Syscape at its  foundation, our solutions provide the ability to capture or import complex systems using well-defined, hierarchical models.  This provides methods to analyze existing architectures in new ways.  The resulting models may contain many different views that represent various aspects of the system.  This includes functional models of sensor components or architectural aspects of component interactions.  Any of these views can capture mathematical representations of the system that can be executed for quantitative analysis of trustworthiness and resulting risk.
