Job Description

Edaptive Computing, Inc. (ECI) is currently seeking a DevSecOps Engineer. The Edaptive DevSecOps Engineer ensures that ECI development products maintain consistent processes and pipelines to streamline development, testing, and deployment. This position works with development teams to enable securely transitioning products from development to operations. The DevSecOps Engineer will help design the optimal DevSecOps environment for efficient development and secure and scalable infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities

• Help drive direction of on-prem and cloud DevSecOps policies and activities
• Assist development teams in implementing best-practice DevSecOps processes
• Heavy focus on performance and scalability in large-scale enterprise applications deployed to cloud environments
• Stays abreast of new technologies. Proposes and implements new processes and techniques. Proposes inclusion of new technology into existing products and new solutions
• Focus on building modular layouts, reusable code and libraries for future use and sharing across development teams
• Emphasis on standardization across the organization

Qualitative Requirements

• Experience with common DevSecOps tools and technology
• Broad understanding and experience with a variety of technology stacks
• Experience using pipelines to perform automated builds, tests, code scans, and deployments in a CI/CD fashion
• Experience deploying to cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Experience architecting and building applications using cloud services (AWS preferred)
• Advanced understanding of using tools in development to aid in the DevSecOps process (eg: Docker/containers)
• Linux and Windows administration experience
• Experience with coded-infrastructure tools and technologies (CloudFormation, Terraform, etc)
• Expert-level experience with Git or other VCS
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining focus on core responsibility
• Excitement and eagerness to learn new technology
• Desire to work in an Agile software development environment
• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance

Educational and Experience Requirements

• 4+ years’ experience with DevSecOps and cloud technologies
• Bachelor degree or higher in technology or related field. 6 years of relevant experience or training can be substituted for the degree requirement.

Enhancing Skills

• Experience with Azure DevOps Server (using Git repos)
• Strong experience with automation tooling
• Experience with PowerShell
• Experience with Shell/Bash scripting
• Previous experience working with government customers
• Understanding of multiple deployment environments (linux/nginx/tomcat and Windows/IIS)
• Advanced knowledge of cloud services (AWS) and architecting applications for the cloud
• Cybersecurity training or emphasis on security in DevOps (DevSecOps)
• Advanced knowledge of multiple DevOps tools
